Jason, the long-lost son of the king, is on a quest to the faraway land of Colchis to extract the Golden Fleece from the clutches of the dragon who guards it. He darts off on his adventure without hesitation - his return is an ambivalent and bloody success. Together with a chorus of young people, subbotnik questions our understanding of the word "hero" in the Argonaut saga.
"Perhaps there are no heroes anymore, or perhaps there never were any to begin with. But try telling that to your children! This is (...) precisely what Subbotnik is doing (...) . It is rare for such a disillusioning message to be presented in such an enchanting way (...) . The audience, which is plunged into the depths of this intrigue-filled story, laughs, shudders, suffers."
