Children are so often the reluctant subjects of their parents` cameras, now more than ever due to our modern-day fixation on documenting our lives. Instead of asking kids to look this way or that, smile for the camera or look cute, Jessica Wilson turns the camera around: "I see you like this" allows children to see their parents as subjects through the lens of their own imaginations. The Australian artist works with Cologne kids to examine the fascinating relationship between parent and child. The children are charged with the task of observing and transforming their parents who, in turn, are able to experience being "seen" by their kids - often for the first time. During the SLAM SESSION, parent/child pairs can book appointment slots every 15 minutes. After an intense round of questions, the children are given free rein to let their imagination run wild and remake their parents, who are then photographed by a professional photographer. The resulting pictures will be on display at the festival.

Parents say.......
"I felt nervous when you asked my son to consider what kind of person I am."
"Actually I realised that my daughter has never previously taken an interest in who I am."
"The experience has brought us closer together."
