JOIN! who does the world belong to?

WHO DOES THE WORLD BELONG TO? is the motto of the festival.

To that question, we add: Who determines the distribution and division of goods and who makes the rules  - and what happens when a person or group wants to claim the world, or parts of it, for themselves? And simply does so? Marie Rosenkranz kicks off the afternoon with her stance on modes of political activity for young people. This will be followed by rounds of discussion, drama and slam poetry in the green parlour (Grüner Saal) of COMEDIA Theater.

What ´s more, our stage will remain open for any last-minute contributions that may be submitted to the festival by Cologne youngsters. Visitors are additionally welcome to come and explore the foyer as well as the street in front of the building where the Future Transporter truck is parked, both of which will be open to the public. JOIN! is the motto.

Import Export Kollektiv / Schauspiel Köln
Excerpts from their new project

Are we too female, too East German, too Muslim, too black, too emotional, too lazy, too foreign, too political, too many refugees, too handicapped? At school, at university, at work and at the theatre. How many labels are we expected to put up with? And is there a way to escape them? Since October 2015, 20 young people have comprised the Import Export Kollektiv at Schauspiel Köln.

The group ´s young members conduct research and explore personal and collective experiences through performative formats. Their docufiction-style investigations repeatedly confront the questions: How do we aspire to live together? What holds our society together? Where does racism begin? Where does discrimination end?
